If you’ve been through Physical Therapy care before, you may have had the unfortunate experience of being “juggled” by your Physical Therapist with several other patients at the same time. This DOES NOT happen at Revive!
Attention to patient-specific care is our priority. Each patient is scheduled exclusively one-on-one with their assigned provider each visit. One hour is reserved for Initial Evaluation visits, and a minimum of half an hour is reserved for all follow up visits. This ensures our team can safely evaluate your condition and provide thoroughly effective treatment.
Administratively, we also provide patients with a comprehensive breakdown of your insurance benefits and limitations. While it is a patient’s responsibility to understand their specific insurance plan, copies of your plan are provided and explained in detail. We also minimize the cumbersome process of dealing with insurance by seeking authorization for you, and thoughtfully considering all factors that will aid in seeking insurance approval for Physical Therapy services.
Each Physical Therapist at Revive is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Certain team members of the Revive team are either Fellowship trained, or are working on completion of advanced Fellowship training. The Fellowship training engaged by our team is accomplished by less than 5% of PT’s nationwide, which means our team members are capable of performing advanced diagnostic exams and are trained in the provision of highly skilled manual and exercise interventions. This is entirely uncommon to most other local practices! Additionally, members of the team carry other advanced credentials in Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning, Dry Needling and Olympic Lifting. Thus, Revive prides itself on an eclectic combination of extensive Doctorate level education and diversely mixed advanced continuing education backgrounds.
With a team of therapists of advanced credentials, patients of Revive enjoy working with Movement Experts. Beyond just “assessing and evaluating”, our team is highly adept at diagnosing neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Movement patterns are critically analyzed through research based testing, and care therefore becomes necessarily more comprehensive in nature. Holistic diagnosis and care is implemented, with patients being viewed as a “whole” rather than simply by one injured body part. Our team’s mission is to perform extensive root cause analysis and precisely determine the diagnosis in question. From here, treatment is tailored specifically to the injured tissues and/or conditions. This methodology applies to patients of all ages, sizes and backgrounds!
“Cookie Cutter” Physical Therapy is a form of treatment where most (or all) patients receive the same treatment regimen. You may have experienced this in other facilities heavily reliant upon using hot/cold packs and “space filler” treatments that are proven to be mostly ineffective. This also DOES NOT happen at Revive!
The Physical Therapy team at Revive is dedicated to providing each patient with a unique, custom-tailored treatment plan, specific to their condition(s). Drawing from a team with extensive education, diverse backgrounds and talent, you can expect your care plan to be holistic and comprehensive. Some of, but not all, of the services we provide are:
Direct Access laws in the State of Connecticut allow for immediate access to Physical Therapy, with no referral from a Medical Doctor or practice required! Patients with aches and pains are therefore able to easily call us directly for evaluation and treatment without first having to contact their doctor’s office. Additionally, the Revive team is trained in not only screening for conditions appropriate for PT care, but also deducing if a patient’s issue falls outside our scope of practice. When this occurs, we tap our extensive network of like-minded medical providers to ensure your care is directed appropriately. Additionally, we will provide information, documentation and insight to your medical provider to help expedite your care.
